BA LLB (Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws) is a five-year integrated undergraduate program that combines the study of humanities (such as Political Science, Sociology, History, and Economics) with law subjects (such as Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and Corporate Law).
This course prepares students for a legal career by developing analytical, research, and advocacy skills. Graduates can work as lawyers, legal advisors, judges, or pursue higher studies like LLM.
BA LLB Distance Education is an integrated professional law degree program that sets 12th pass candidates on a path that leads them to a career in legal world. It is a five-year dual degree program consisting of BA and LLB. The first two years of the program cover subjects, related to BA, such as history, economics, sociology, political science, etc. and the last three years are totally focused on law subjects and are almost similar to that of LLB Degree. BA LLB is, a good choice, for those who want to start their career as a lawyer. Law is one of the favorite and oldest field of studies and with time, it’s becoming increasingly popular among students. In India, both, legal education & legal profession, are closely monitored by Bar Council of India (BAR), which is a statutory body appointed for the same. Distance BA LLB is a multi-disciplinary degree that imparts comprehensive integrated knowledge of liberal arts and legal studies. BA LLB course gives, 12th pass, candidates an opportunity to become a part of the legal world at a very early stage of their career. However, there are numerous candidates, who discontinued their education after 12th and want to resume it with legal studies. This group of aspirants mostly sought this course in distance mode. As BCI doesn’t recognize BA LLB distance education, it becomes very difficult for these aspirants to pursue BA LLB. But, for the sake of convenience of such aspirants, there are several, UGC-AIU-BCI approved, universities in India offering Regular BA LLB Degree delivered using Distance/ Correspondence/ Online education techniques.
