What is Diploma in Engineering course?

Pursuing a Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) equips students with practical technical skills, typically over a three-year period following the 10th grade. Candidates who have completed 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or a two-year ITI course after 10th grade may be eligible for lateral entry into the second year, reducing the program duration to two years.

In India, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) oversees technical education. It's important to note that AICTE does not recognize Diploma in Engineering programs offered solely through distance education due to the necessity of hands-on practical training. Therefore, students should exercise caution and verify the accreditation status of any institution offering such programs.
